CRACKDOWN UNDERWAY: ICE Deportation Raids Underway In NYC, ‘Number Of Jurisdictions’

A nationwide crackdown to apprehend thousands of illegal immigrants across the country began late Saturday in the nation’s largest city and several other places, according to an official.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) resumed its previously announced plan to apprehend thousands of illegal immigrants who’ve been given orders to leave the country, targeting people in at least 10 cities. The ICE raids began late Saturday and into the early morning hours on Sunday in “a number of jurisdictions,” not just New York City, a senior administration official confirmed to Fox News.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio says he’s getting reports that a nationwide crackdown on immigrants facing deportation is already underway in his city.

The sweeps were expected to start Sunday, but de Blasio tweeted on Saturday that the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency had already taken action in New York.

The mayor says ICE agents did not succeed in rounding up any residents of Brooklyn’s Sunset Park neighborhood and Harlem.

Immigrants who’ve been given orders to leave the country are government targets in at least 10 cities.

Advocates are coaching them on their rights, including instructions not to respond if agents knock on the door unless shown a warrant signed by a judge.

The Democratic mayor has said his city would not cooperate with ICE.

  1. These raids are reminiscent of Russian pogroms and Nazi roundups our own people confronted. It’s so sad to see the country whose most famous statue that has welcomed millions of people fleeing oppression turning into the oppressor.

  2. One thing that is nice is that they pre=announced the date and cities of this aktion. Gave people a chance to hide.

  3. Moishgil, Either you are not educated or you really don’t care about this country.
Identify which one so we know how to respond with the proper rebuke.

  4. If someone walks into your house or enters your property without legal permission will you welcome him/her in or will you call the police to have them evicted? If you do let them stay but they don’t like your rules or restrictions will you change the way you do things to accommodate their demands? If they bring their entire family and some friends with them, would you be able to house them, feed them, cloth them, etc….
Now do you get the picture?
We’re deporting those that entered without permission. Illegals!!
