Ezras Nashim Receives License To Operate Ambulance In Boro Park


The Ezras Nashim, (aka Chasdei Devorah Inc.) Organization has been granted an ambulance permit by New York State EMS Council on Thursday.

The vote at SEMSCO passed by 23 votes, with two members voting against it. A third person abstained.

The organization will now be permitted to serve female clientele within a 2.7 square-mile area in the Boro Park neighborhood.

    Machlokes brings DANGER, it’s the exact opposite for why Hatzolah was created

  2. In discussing this topic you have to note that United Hatzala in Israel has women members and you didn’t hear any complaints.
    I can see why some would be against it, but it’s been proven to work. Maybe because here in the crazy liberal USA things can go wrong, but on the other hand there is a good case for it.
    There are many cases where a patient refuses to cooperate or go to the hospital and a sympathetic hatazala member convinces them that they must go. A woman talking to a woman [atient can be at times very helpful and it can save a life.

  4. I find it hard to believe that NYS only permitted them to treat female clientele. Isn’t that illegal discrimination?
    I understand they’re only interested in that but the state can’t legally only allow them to treat one gender.
