  1. It’s a pity we have to wait for these things to happen. Again driving in the mountains is very dangerous people have to take it slow

  2. I do a lot of driving outside of “the city” and I have to say there is a major difference which most people are not used to.

First of all, even traveling the speed limit on small winding roads causes objects to come up on you MUCH faster.

2nd, there are lots of animals that “own” the area and I am referring to the 4 legged ones. I know what its like to hit a deer and I could tell you, some 11K later, its NOT fun at all! BH we were ok and the car was able to be repaired.

I certainly hope these people will be OK. Its not a good thing when they are medivaced to Westchester.

  3. the vacation spots are ,including the catskills become overpopulated with vacationers and their automobiles.some of these drivers come with bad habits , like what you have in boro park and other neighborhoods.unfortunately, the catskills have tricky roads which require very careful and full attentive driving.no phones, no rage driving, no parking in two lane highways, and other restrictions must be adhered to,to avoid injuries and problems.i only hope and pray that we get thru this summer with out any serious accidents due to human avoidable conditions. we should also be successful to avoid all problems, however, the human kinds should be on top of the list for the sake of the people and their chidlren.

  4. #4 (“I hope not trying to pass”)
OOOHHH KAAAAYYY! Chas V’sholom that he was trying to pass.
He must have been bored of always driving on the right side of the road and decided to make his ride more exciting. Or maybe he is from England!
    That must be it!
Refua Shleima and A Safe Summer To All !

  5. lets listen everyone .

the bigest problem is the slow drivers.

its ok to drive slow but if someone gets agitated beind you just move to the side and wait .
anyway you have time . so let them pass.

i was driving yesterday being a lady that just had time but i was getting very med.

if she has time to drive slow just let me pass.

dont try to teach a lesson to another.

90% of accidents will not happend.

  6. nishtdurfarvus – yes. and lawschool too. i had a much longer and stronger message but since I was trying to keep it positive and figured the message to come through with what i wrote i cut and cut and was left with this.

  7. why are we blaming anyone?????????? accidents do happen and nebech for the people involved whether the cause or not!!!!!! Hashem should watch over us all and give refuahs and yeshuos to all that need them!

  8. #9. you are wrong, the biggest problem is not slow drivers. the biggest problem are people like you who get mad (perhaps the med that you referred to is what you need) because somebody has the audacity to drive in front of you at whatever speed. the problem is with people who feel that they have to right to drive as they see fit and everyone else should get off the road AND if somebody is not going to drive the way i want them to, well, i’ll just do whatever i need to do to get past them.

the root cause of these happenings are rude, thoughtless, ME-FIRST people that feel that the roads were paved for them and only with their consent are others even allowed on the roads.

  9. Dear Bignet,
Just MAYBE, if you would’nt get so “med” when you’re driving behind “someone who has lots of time” (probably driving at the posted limit,no?)we would be able to cut down on the number of calamaties that sadly occur on the catskill roads every year!Remember “everyone”, Arrive Alive!

  10. it is very agitating driving behind someone that’s driving below speed limit. remember – that’s below speed limit. but still, safety first. you have a responsibility to the oncoming car that has a right to be there.

  11. shaindelle – Its illegal to go above the limit. You are saying no one should drive below the limit. So everyone MUST drive PRECISELY at the limit, not above or below?
