Antisemitism Allegations Rock Florida High School, Federal Complaint Filed

A civil rights complaint out of Florida is raising questions about how a public school district responded to allegations of antisemitic harassment in the classroom.

A filing submitted to the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights accuses students at A. Crawford Mosley High School in Florida of presenting antisemitic content during class projects, including stereotypes, imagery associated with Nazi ideology and gestures that went unchallenged by teachers.

The complaint, brought by the Anti-Defamation League and the law firm Akerman on behalf of a Jewish student, alleges that classmates used presentations to depict conspiracies about Jewish influence and included offensive imagery and references. In one instance, students are said to have worn kippahs while making Nazi salutes.

According to the complaint, school officials later determined that the incidents constituted antisemitic harassment. However, the filing asserts that no disciplinary action followed, and that the student continued to face bullying, including swastikas drawn on school property.

The student has since transferred out of state. The complaint calls on federal officials to require the district to adopt stricter policies, including a zero-tolerance approach to antisemitism and expanded staff training.

The school district has not publicly commented on the allegations.
