Eggs, rocks and other items were used by left-wing activists and neo-Nazis taking part in protests in Sweden on Saturday, protesting against the participation of Israeli athletes in the Davis Cup tennis competition.
As a result of warnings and expecting some 20,000 protestors, police only permitted about 300 special guests into the match but at the end, while the event outside the stadium was stormy, only several hundred demonstrators were on hand. Nevertheless, it signals a continuation of the anti-Israel sentiment that follows Operation Cast Lead, another feather in the cap of the growing Muslim fundamentalist agenda working to promote its anti-Israel platform, seeking to portray the IDF as an army guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Sweden’s Jewish community is playing down the event, perhaps mistakenly so, with a Jewish Agency shaliach explaining “they failed”, stating threats to bring out 20,000 supporters to protest Israel’s presence failed.
On the other hand, they did succeed in closing down the stadium and they brought considerable media attention to their anti-Israel agenda, one that seems to be gaining momentum, especially in the Greater European community.

The Arabs rioted last month when there was a peaceful demonstration in support of Israel. They threw rocks, bottles, and fire bombs. The Swedish police dispersed the pro-Israel demonstration eventhough they had a permit and the Arabs did not.
