More Disruptions in Jerusalem Light Rail Service Expected This Week

jlrThe labor representing employees of the Jerusalem light rail announce they will be carrying out work sanctions that will disrupt light rail service beginning on Sunday, 12 Cheshvan.

CityPass officials, the operator of the light rail, decries yet another disruption in service by drivers, accusing the union of holding Jerusalem commuters “hostage” over and over again. CityPass officials view these latest sanctions, which they call “unjustifiable”, as most serious.

The last attempt to disrupt service was last month during the Yomim Tovim when employees called a major sick out. The National Labor Court compelled them to return to work.
