Senator Kevin Parker Gets Violent Again – Represents Flatbush & Boro Park

Albany, NY – A heated exchange took place at last night’s closed-door Senate Democratic conference between Sens. Diane Savino, Kevin Parker and Jeff Klein resulted in a stand-off between the two male lawmakers, Senate sources confirm.

Sources who witnessed the exchange said Parker, who has a history of hot-temperedness, “charged” Savino while she was reviewing the findings of the select committee report on Monserrate for her colleagues.

Parker was “yelling and cursing”, saying: “We’re not going to do anything with the Republicans! (Profanity removed by YWN) the Republicans!”

When Klein stood up to defend Savino, Parker reportedly asked him: “You want a piece of me?” Klein shot back: “If that’s what it takes to stop this, then yes.”

Parker was held back by Senate Democratic Conference Leader John Sampson and others. No blows were exchanged. The situation diffused quickly after that.

PREVIOUS PARKER VIOLENCE:

JUNE 2009: http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/article.php?p=36153 …..Attorney John Conway, 59, said he was on the Senate floor when Parker sought to disrupt a GOP-controlled proceeding that Democrats considered illegal.

“He said to me, ‘What are you looking at, punk? Do you know who I am and don’t you read the newspaper, punk?’” said Conway.

MAY 2009: http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/article.php?p=34997 ……Parker was indicted on assault and other charges after being accused of attacking a New York Post photographer who took his picture.

A Brooklyn grand jury handed up the indictment charging the Democratic Senator with second and third degree assault, third and fourth degree criminal mischief, third degree menacing and second degree harassment. If convicted, he faces up to seven years in prison.

2005: ……Parker was arrested on charges of punching a traffic agent who was writing him a ticket. The charges were dropped after Parker agreed to take an anger management class.

  1. Dear YWN, that NOTE: Dov Hikind endorsed Senator Parker over Simcha Felder in the September 2008 Primary race for the 21st District Senate seat, is totally unnecessary & has nothing to with the article, just because you are adamantly anti-Hikind & Lazar & pr-Greenfield does not give you the right to not accept any pro-Lazar comments. Shame on you YWN!

  2. geshmockster wake up and smell the coffe .
Dov Hikind endorsed Senator Parker over Simcha Felder in the September 2008 Primary race for the 21st District Senate seat, is totally nessacerry to say , since we should all how dov thinks
it’s my way or the highway and dov will make it his bussiness to try to endorse bullies or whoever he thinks will thinks things his way only.

  3. yosse: that post is Motzi Shem Ra you don’t have to agree with Mr. Hikind’s political views but you should not nock him as a person, especially when they are false accusations.

  4. geshmockster, are you a paid political hack for Dov Hikind or what? I used to like Dov a lot especially for his stand on law enforcement and now terrorism. But, he is a tax and spend liberal and it is about time that the people that he represents know exactly what he stands for. If he endorsed this violent thug, because that is what Kevin Parker is, so we should know about it without you trying to intimidate those who oppose Dov politically.

Now, why don’t you tell us the truth, okay?

  5. geshmockster why is it Motzi Shem Ra . do you know that the average person in our community is suffering because of the way how he does things today.
lets look at education . you would think that as a state assemblyman from one of the largest religious Jewish districts in the world , why are our yeshivas suffering as much as they are today , and why are our parents burdened financially so much about this . between him and shelly silver there is so much that can be done and they are doing nothing about it.

  6. yosse, you said it. We could have vouchers for all school age children no matter what income, limits on tort, de-regulation of insurance companies, and low taxes. But, it is not politically correct so therefore…….

  7. ishbainanoshim, do you really feel R’ Nachman has a chance. I know him he is a huge Talmid Chochom and a massive Iluy. But, I don’t think he is popular enough to pull-through with a victory, & if Joe loses votes to him we may end up with the guy from the Sephardic Federation who I think will only help his cause. I may be incorrect tho. Who are the Yeshivos & Rebba’s advocating for? That is probably the only real determining factor??

  8. Nachman Caller left the race as was reported here on YWN. Joe must be in 7th heaven all of the Mosdos are now on his side, this may be it!

  9. If Parker had been a Republican or (even stronger) an actual conservative, he would have been thrown in jail for even making threats and intimidating moves like that.

But since he is a liberal, such violence and unprofsssional conduct, always gets a pass.

  10. Shame on you Geshmakster!

Yes, I meant you Mr. Geshmakster. How dare you come up onto such a wonderful news-site and fill it up with your junk. If you wanna declare yourself a staunch supporter of Lazar, say it. Actually, you don’t have to say it it’s obvious. But don’t just post hate and smear this phenomenal service. Have some more guts than your candidate and stand up for a debate. Come up with Lazar’s record and you can even add the ghost-candidates record as well (…). I’ll match it with all of his opponents records (And I include Felder etc.).

Yes, I’ll say it outright. I HATE Hikind. I never met Lazar before, neither heard of him before (!) so I wouldn’t say I’d never vote for him, but Hikind’s pawn won’t get my vote ever.

As to this exceptional website. Stop bashing it for nothing. For some reason, every post about this campaign had you or one of your cronies spam the comments with your nonsense. Whether it was Pro-Lazar or Pro-Greenfield….Bash. Headlines became misleading, YWN became wrong for posting a clarification after they were ingenuously duped and deceived and so on… Yes, it is important to know who is working against us. Just as we should know when Sen. Feinstein (who is also Jewish btw) works against us, so should we know which local politicians are not in our favor. Hikind went with his same-old-politics streak when he endorsed a criminal to represent us in Albany vs. a devoted Asken that did wonders for our community. He used wrong judgement then, he used wrong judgement when he endorsed a anti-frum candidate to represent us in city council and he continues to use wrong judgement everytime he uses his bully tactics to get things going his way against our will.

And, if you disagree with me and YWN, no one forces you to be here…

  11. Dave, I love YWN! I’ve been looking at it since it’s founding. On this one topic I feel that it has not been fair reporting, but they really are improving and it almost looks as if they are neutral about this.
