New York Rescue Response Team (NYRRT) is proud to announce a new Fire Safety program starting Sunday March 14 2010. Our members will distribute and install smoke alarms which have a 10 year battery life FREE of charge to any senior citizen that does not have one installed, living in the Bensonhurst, Boro Park, Kensington and Midwood neighborhoods in Brooklyn, with plans to expand the program in all of Brooklyn South neighborhoods in the upcoming months.

This program is aimed to promote fire safety awareness and to remind senior citizens about the importance of having a working smoke alarm in their homes.
