UPDATED: Emirates Airlines Jet Blocked From Leaving JFK

12:35PM EST: An Emirates Airlines jet has been stopped on a JFK Airport taxiway, amid reports of a ‘no-fly’ passenger on board.

The FAA has confirmed to CBS News that flight #204 [to Dubai]  has been blocked from departing JFK Airport by Customs and Border Protection agents, and Department of Homeland Security personnel.

According to NBC News, the pilots had requested permission to taxi for takeoff when Customs and Border Protection blocked the plane from taxiing.

UPDATE 12:55PM EST: Sources tell NBC that the incident appears to be a case of mistaken identity involving one passenger.

Another official said the incident involved two people — a man and a woman. One of those people appeared to be on a Customs and Border Protection List, not a Transportation Security Administration no-fly list.

  1. How did they get on the plane in the first place?!
This is the same thing that happened a few days ago with the Times Square bomber.

  2. “To be fair, at Emirates Airlines, being on a “no-fly” list makes you eligible for pre-boarding. ” – Anne Coulter

  3. All these blocks delay decent people (read islamo-fascists) from being reunited with their families in Dubai. These actions border on nazism and delay Mosad from carrying out vital missions.
