Orthodox Maintain Control of East Ramapo (Monsey) School District

1:25AM EST: In another very closely watched school board election, the three Orthodox Jewish candidates for East Ramapo Central School District in Rockland County, New York were victorious by an average of 2,000 voteS apiece. Congratulations to Yehuda Weissmandl, Daniel Schwartz & Moshe Hopstein. We wish them much success as the newest members of the local school board.

  1. Big deal, what have you done to keep our taxes going up every year. Seems it does not matter who is on the board same garbage every year a fake budget is put up for voting and then we are scammed with a seemingly less pain “real” budget by the board. so what is it going to be this year instead of the 9% increase 8.5% instead. Get rid of the special interest issues and stop spending our money.

  2. Why is this reason to celebrate?
Once again, frum Jews in the eye of the storm, to gain benefit of funds, grants,& educational decision etc. Is this where we belong on local school boards, can we realistically be mekavash shem shamayim this way.

  3. Once again there is a large chillul hashem,
none of these people have children in the public school system which is FEDERAL FUNDED but in PRIVATE which receives PRIVATE FUNDING with the additional minimal federal funding, Catholic schools can come up with the money with minimal federal funding as well as teach the state curriculum to the students. As you may all be blinded to our schools do not, what gives us the right to stuff children into packed classrooms of forty or fifty kids, laying off teachers, and other such things for personal greed for funding we do not deserve? In response to pac-man, not everyone is an anti-semite if not jewish they favor their own religion like we do persecuting everyone who is not jewish? And people have the nerve to whine how we are hated
