Hamas leader Khaled Meshal addressed a Tehran rally, telling supporters that he and his colleagues remain committed to resistance until such time that the Zionists entity is defeated. His statement is in line with Hamas leaders in Gaza, who reject the ongoing process of Palestine statehood in the United Nations.

Meshal told supporters attending the 5th International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada in Iran that “first, we must free Palestine” and only then can they begin the building of the new Palestinian state.

According to Iran’s Fars news agency, Meshal called on all factions to “find a practical way to achieve the freedom of the homeland, the return of refugees and creation of a real Palestinian state.”
