Rockets Continue To Strike S. Israel


15:40: A rocket exploded in an open field south of Ashkelon. There are no reports of injuries or damage.

17:15: Two border policemen were lightly wounded in rock attacks in the Abu Tur area of the capital. One of the assailants was apprehended and is in custody.

18:32 A Grad missile was fired at Beersheva. The Iron Dome system intercepted and neutralized the incoming projectile

18:38: Four rockets landed in southern Israel during the evening hours, all in open areas. One of the rockets landed in Sderot. Baruch Hashem there is no reports of injuries or damage.

** Despite announcing earlier in the day that schools would reopen on Tuesday, 4 Cheshvan, the municipalities of Beersheva, Ashdod, and Ashkelon have announced schools will remain closed.

** Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu in his address to the opening of the Knesset’s winter session reiterated “There is no ceasefire and no negotiations” regarding ongoing rocket attacks into Israel. The prime minister stressed that every rocket fired into Israel will be countered with a painful response.

** Following the UNESCO decision to accept the PA (Palestinian Authority) as a member, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman stated Israel will have to contemplate its future in the international organization.

    Soooooo painful that they don’t stop launching them.

    But hey… Bibi can’t risk upsetting Sheik Obama.

  3. I heard the pain! The sound of our planes were heard very loudly and non-stop from 5am this morning. We live about 15 min away from one of the military air bases in the South.

    I imagine our fighter planes were not performing an exercise.
