Jerusalem: ‘Get Out of Our Neighborhood’

A Jaffa Street apartment in Jerusalem was set ablaze during the night, Sunday night to Monday morning, 14 Sivan 5772, a home rented by foreigners from Eritrea. Graffiti “get out of our neighborhood” was found at the fire scene by police, painted on the wall in black paint.

Firefighters arrived in a timely fashion and evacuated the building. Ten foreigners were evacuated from the burning apartment. Some were transported to Shaare Zedek Medical Center where they were treated and released.

Jerusalem Police Chief Niso Shacham has set up a special team to investigate the fire, which appears to be an arson hate attack.
