Maran HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef Shlita has been giving his weekly shiur in Beit Knesset Tifferet Yerushalayim (HaYazdim) for decades. During that time period, the rav used the same chair, the chair which was also brought to important events.
During the last year the rav has not traveled as much, usually remaining at home. Even his weekly shiur is given from his Har Nof home and broadcast from there.
The chair remained in the shul, and occasionally it was brought to a kenos to accommodate the gadol hador.
The question now remains is who took the chair, which according to gabbaim has a great monetary value as well, adding that offers in the hundreds of thousands of NIS were already made by people interested in acquiring it.
