The simcha was palpable in the air as congregants were on hand in the Mishkan Nissim Ayoubi Shul in Gilo as four sifrei torah that were stolen over four months ago were returned.

Ladaat spoke with gabbai Ofir Ayoubi, who said “This is a big simcha. We are all celebrating. They stole four son 4.5 months ago, bringing us to tears. It took all of our energy but today, they are back and we don’t know how to adequately give thanks”.

Ayoubi explains how he has cried a great deal since the theft, but now the situation has turned around.

Ayoubi explained that at 9:00 he received a call, from the person who donated the sifrei torah, who was shouting into the phone, telling him the seforim were in his yard.

“It appears HKBH saw our tears and heard our tefilos and decided to have the sifrei torah returned,” concluded Ayoubi.
