Hundreds Attend Levaya of R’ Chaim Eluzer Shulem Z’L & Mrs. Faigy Gluck A’H Who Were R’L Killed In Boro Park Fire


Hundreds of people attended the Levaya of R’ Chaim Eluzer Shulem Z”L & Mrs. Faigy Gluck A”H, Monday afternoon. They were the victims of a horrible tragedy, when a fire ripped through their home early Monday morning.

The Levaya was held at Shomrei Hadas Chapels. The Kevura will be in Lakewood on Monday evening.

Misaskim working closely with the NYC Medical Examiners Office as well as the NYC Fire Marshall were able to ensure proper Kavod Hames, and have the Niftarim released in under three hours for a timely Levaya and Kevura.

Among their children are their two sons that own Gluck Plumbing in Lakewood, NJ.

Bichasdei Hashem, their daughter was saved from the fire. Sources told YWN that she tried desperately to save the life of her father, who was using his last breaths by attempting to remove Mrs. Gluck who had medical issues which impaired her walking.

As YWN reported earlier, the 3-alarm fire broke out at about 4 a.m. in the two and a half story house at 1174 44th Street early Monday morning.

Firefighters encountered heavy smoke and flames on the first floor.

By the time they got into the home, the fire had spread to the second floor.

The victims, a 61-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman, were found unconscious in a back bedroom.

They were rushed to the hospital by Hatzolah, but both were unfortunately pronounced dead at Maimonides Hospital.
