100s of Israelis Canceled Vacations in Burgas

According to travel agents in Eretz Yisrael, hundreds of Israelis have canceled planned vacations in Burgas and other areas of Bulgaria after this week’s bombing attack. Yossi Pateal, representing the association of travel agents sets the number of cancelations at 30%.

Nevertheless he explains, most vacationers opted not to cancel, most likely because it is too late to find an alternative vacation destination.

Yehuda Zafrani of Ofir Tours adds that from his perspective, the few hundred cancelations are a drop in the bucket compared to the 40,000 Israelis who are still flying to Bulgaria for vacation. He feels that the influence of the attack on vacationers will vanish in a few short days.
