Residents in southern Israel were awakened to the Red Alert sirens as terrorists in Gaza fired rockets into the region. Rockets landed close to 06:30, and B’chasdei Hashem there were no injuries.

After five rockets pounded the area the air force retaliated against terrorists leading to additional mortar attack against an IDF patrol in the area. Once again, Baruch Hashem there were no injuries reported.

Sources in Gaza report at least three wounded as a result of the IAF strike.
