Thursday, 16 Cheshvan marks the 11th yahrzeit of Maran HaGaon Rav Elazar Menachem Mann Shach, the ‘Avi Ezri’ ZT”L ZY”A. Many yeshivos and kollelim in Eretz Yisrael and around the world held a kenos and/shiurim on Wednesday night.

As has become the minhag, his son-in-law Maran HaGaon Rav Meir Tzvi Bergman Shlita, Rosh Yeshivas Rashbi is giving a special yahrzeit shiur in the yeshiva at noon.

Degel HaTorah affiliated rabbonim made preparations in the beis hachaim to accommodate the tens of thousands expected to visit the kever throughout the day. Askanim from Beis Medrash Ohr Yochanan-Tulna have arranged for refreshments to assist the mispallalim.

The children from talmidei torah will be visiting the tziyun during the morning hours escorted by their rabbonim as is done annually. The main tefilla will take place at 14:00 followed by words of mussar and hisorarus by Rav Bergman. Bus service to the tziyun will increase beginning at 13:00.
