Hizbullah Turns to UN Against Israel Backed by Lebanese Army


The Lebanese Army and Hizbullah have filed a complaint against Israel with the United Nations. According to the complaint, since 2006, when the Second Lebanon War ceasefire agreement was signed, the IAF has crossed into Lebanese air space on the average nine times daily. They accuse Israel of over 20,000 violations of UN Resolution 1701, stating in 2012, there were 3,000 violations alone via land, air and sea, but primarily drone unmanned aircraft.

Hizbullah warns that in the next round of conflict with Israel, his organization will show Israel that its unmanned aircraft, which will be sent over Tel Aviv.

The report quotes “an Israeli military source” as explaining for as long as Hizbullah violates Resolution 1701, Israel will continue aerial surveillance over Lebanon, which serves as a primary intelligence gathering method. Walla News quotes the senior military source anonymously adding there is no truth to reported ground incursions onto Lebanese soil. He explains these so-called ground violations surround the ongoing dispute at to the exact location of the Blue Line border demarcation.

The IDF spokesman declined comment.
