The NYPD will again increase police presence in Jewish neighborhoods this Pesach seasos.

“We will have a uniform police presence in predominately Jewish neighborhoods and our anti-crime officers will also be paying special attention,” Commissioner Raymond Kelly said at his annual pre-Passover briefing to the Jewish community. “We’ve done this for several years.”

Kelly said the NYPD doesn’t know of any plots against city Jews or Jewish houses of worship, but cannot rule out the possibility.

“We are always concerned, but we don’t have any specific information,” Kelly said.
