US Secretary of State John Kerry returned to the Middle East on Tuesday morning, 12 Sivan 5773. On his agenda will be a number of issues, topped by the brewing military crisis in Syria resulting from the ongoing civil war in that country. Kerry will also continue efforts to bring Israel and the PA (Palestinian Authority) back to the negotiating table.
Kerry will begin this round of shuttle diplomacy in the region in Oman, then to Jordan, arriving for a brief stay in Israel on Thursday, 14 Sivan and then the PA. Kerry is expected to meet with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Justice Minister Tzipi Livni (The Movement) who holds a senior place in talks with the PA.
