Another Attack as Eritreans Have Overrun Southern Tel Aviv

mishtaraFor anyone who has recently been in southern Tel Aviv, particularly the area of the old central bus station, it is clear that that area of the city has been overrun by Eritreans and others from African nations who crossed the border into Israel after their trek from Africa. The reports of violent attacks, burglaries and other crimes involving this population are published daily but for the most part it appears the national government has signed off the area and is willing to accept the new unwanted reality.

One recent attack however has caused a stir, for miraculously, the victims escaped with their lives. The attack could easily have ended with fatalities for the brutal attackers did not exhibit a minimum measure of compassion in the unprovoked attack.

Five Eritrean men targeted a couple in their vehicle which was stopped in the area, at a red light on Matalon Street. This occurred on erev Shabbos 19 Menachem Av 5773.The attackers began stoning the vehicle and before the driver, 35-year-old Eyal Gavriel could react, his door was ripped open and he was pulled out of the driver’s seat. Watching what was unfolding his horrified wife, Nitzan, was helpless as the men punched and kicked her husband. They were working to bring him down to the ground. The Bat Yam Municipality employee fought gallantly, but eventually the five were too much for him and he collapsed to the street, permitting the hoodlums to continue beating him at will.

So heinous and brutal was the attack explained Nitzan, who pointed out they were not after money, for they stole nothing that they beat him for the sake of beating him. Nitzan told the press that people in the area are panicked, fearful and unwilling to stand up to these unwanted occupiers who have brought anarchy to the area. She stated there was a soldier at a bus stop who did not respond as was the case with passersby, all seeing the beating and picking up the pace to distance themselves from the attackers.

Nitzan was panicked, uncertain if she was next or perhaps their children, a 5-year-old son and two daughters, 2-years-old and 10-months. The children realized what was taking place as they shouted “Mommy they are killing daddy!”

Following the attack she wrote on her Facebook page “I can still see them before my eyes like a movie. My family could have become the next statistic, another murder by these inhuman Eritreans, who are capable of barbarism.”

Eyal is recuperating at home. He suffered a fractured nose and cuts and bruises on all extremities and elsewhere on his upper body. For the entire family the psychological trauma is indescribable, especially for the children.

Ironically, the Israeli left-wing has championed the plight of these unwanted individuals, working to prevent the Interior Ministry from deporting them, petitioning the courts to grant them and their children rights, another case of the mercy of fools.

Former right-wing MK Yaakov Katz (Ketzaleh) tried moving mountains in the previous administration as he warned of the growing threat from within, the Africans who have found Israel to be a most suitable City of Refuge for them and their families.

He warned the crime would eventually overrun Tel Aviv as they take jobs away from citizens unwilling to work for the minimal wages given to them. Unfortunately, Katz was correct on all accounts.

  1. While you cannot condemn an entire population for the crimes of some, I wonder why the government, left or right wing, has not deported these people. If they are Jewish, which I doubt, then maybe there is a reason, but otherwise, why is Israel the dumping ground of African refugees. There are several African countries whose culture and way of life is much more similar to those of Eritrea.

  2. So, Tel Aviv will eventually be just like Los Angeles, or Oakland, or Detroit, or Chicago, or Washington D.C., or New York, or…

  3. welcome to the State of Israel another non Jewish state headed by a bunch of people who have no value for Torah they waste all their energy doing everything against tora and nothing to help good people
