[TEFILLAH IN EXTENDED ARTICLE]

Chief Ashkenazi Rabbi David Lau has released a call for Jews around the world to recite a tefilla on behalf of Jonathan Pollard. The rav points out �We all feel that the time for his release has come a long time ago�.

He calls on the tzibur to recite the tefilla on Yomtov in lines with instructions of HaGaon HaRav Mordechai Eliyahu ZT�L, who stated the tefilla should be recited when the torah is taken out or after kriyas Hatorah.
