Over 600 Treated to Date at Rashbi Urgent Medical Care Clinic

mA joint effort involving the Meuchedet HMO and Ichud Hatzalah led to the establishment of the urgent care medical clinic at Kever Rashbi in Meron with the realization some 2 million people visit the site annually. The clinic is manned by a non-Jewish physician on Shabbos and Yomtov, round-the-clock, providing immediate care to visitors in need. On Rosh Hashanah one of the patients included a child bitten by a snake. The child was treated and transported to a local hospital.

With a physician on site together with the well equipped facility, in most cases, transport to a hospital is not necessary.

Over 55 people were seen on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, including a wide array of traumatic and medical issues. Since the clinic was opened on Lag B’Omer 5773, over 600 people have been treated.
