Egged is under fire for chilul Shabbos after buses from the Har Nof depot were seen pulling out before Shabbos ended on Shabbos, 8 Cheshvan 5774.

Community residents report buses were already on the move about 10 minutes before Shabbos ended, demanding Egged be held accountable and to make certain this does not become a trend in the future.

Egged responds to the report, confirming non-Jewish drivers did drive two buses before Shabbos was out to fill them with gas but the buses were not �in service�. Egged acknowledges this should not have occurred, explaining the responsible persons are non-Jewish mechanics and therefore, they were not aware of the Shabbos protocol, apologizing for the incident.
