Paladino Returns To Push GOP Right In Cuomo Fight

paladFirebrand Republican Carl Paladino is back in New York politics to try to drive the GOP to the right against Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo, and vows to undercut the Republican Party if it doesn’t.

The 2010 Republican candidate who lost to Cuomo in a heated campaign says in an interview Monday that he is willing to take Cuomo on again in 2014 as a Conservative Party candidate. He would seek to gain more votes than a Republican candidate, which would bump the GOP from the important No. 2 spot on ballots for the next four years.

But Paladino says he’s not bent on blowing up the Republican Party. He says he could back another Republican candidate for governor if he or she has sufficient conservative fiscal and economic values.

  1. If one doesn’t want New York to be somewhat to the left of Zimbabwe maybe conservatives (small “c”) should concentrate on winnng elections.

  2. Winning must be done by real and solid conservatives, or the liberals will have won once again.

Every compromise where people accept some liberalism by their candidate moves the agenda further and further to the left.

Look where we were 50 years ago and where we are today.
Such compromising never moves us to the right, in the long term.
