Beit Shemesh is now connecting with Beersheva via a new bus line to and from the city. The new line will be operated by Metropolin, the number 459 bus, which is expected to begin next week. The bus will also make stops in Yerucham and Dimona.
Rav Shmuel Greenberg, who heads the transportation vaad, has received a growing number of requests for service from Beit Shemesh to the south.
In the beginning, the line will be in service on Sundays, Thursdays, Fridays and motzei Shabbos. In time, it should be running daily. This will depend on the commuter demand.
