The HaPeles newspaper, which was started by followers of HaGaon HaRav Shmuel Auerbach Shlita, is experiencing severe financial difficulties. Subscribers are being called and asked to voluntarily increase their monthly subscription fees, informing them the additional sum may be calculated as tzedaka, one’s ma’aser money.
An “urgent kenos” was called, to be held in Yerushalayim’s Zvill Hall on Thursday night the eve of 23 Shevat. Decisions are expected to be made during the kenos pertaining to the future of the newspaper.

They should move to an online model, publishing an electronic edition only to save money.
Why would Tzedakah money be allowed to sustain a newspaper?
oh gimme a break. buying a newspaper is tzedokoh money. how stupid can these guys be.
How about an online or email version?
You’re talking about Israel. About the Charedi community. About people who think that the internet and email editions if anything is the Satan’s hang out. Are you guys for real?
