Ex-NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly Takes Position With Real Estate Firm

kellyEx-NYPD Commissioner Raymond Kelly has a new job advising clients of a commercial real estate firm on how to protect themselves from terrorism, crime and other threats.

Kelly will head Cushman & Wakefield Inc.’s risk management services division.

The job entails evaluating how secure buildings are from terrorism, cyberattacks and other crime. He will also advise the firm where they can safely buy property.

The company says Kelly will provide its clients “the highest level risk management service in the industry.”

He told the Wall Street Journal the job offered an opportunity for him “to take some of the things I’ve learned and help start a new practice.”

Kelly was police commissioner for 12 years under Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
