Is there any breakdown of participation in the Chareidi vs. non-religious/national religious precincts?
My wife and I voted. I was very annoyed that there were Border Patrol soldiers with assault rifles in the polling centers. What did they think, that someone would pull out a gun and force someone to vote against their will? It is one thing to have an armed policeman or two at a polling place but paramilitary? That is way too much. After Eli Cohen looses again, what will he do, go to the UN and demand foreign observers?
reb zelasko, the idea is not to scare you, you live in Israel (thank God) for crying out loud!!!!! You see para military and full fledged military all the time!!! (Maybe not in your community, but all over Israel)
They were there to provide enforcement, and to make people think twice about voting twice. Get it?
