In line with annual custom, President Shimon Peres on Independence Day honored 120 of the IDF’s exemplary soldiers at the official state ceremony in the President’s Residence. Also present for the awards ceremony were Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon and IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz.
The Independence Day event was held during the morning hours, beginning with a helicopter gunship formation flying overhead.
Among the recipients of the citation were chareidi military personnel serving in different units.

He is another hero of the Jewish People ready to give up his life for us, while running in sun or snow, on minimal sleep, so we can live.
