In Yeshivat Shavei Chevron where Eyal Yifrach HY”D studied the atmosphere is one of aveilus.

Eyal was previously a talmid in Yeshiva Bnei David in Yishuv Eli, an IDF preparatory yeshiva. He transferred to Shavei Chevron a few weeks prior to his murder. His friends explain that during his brief period he made many friends for he was that type of person.

Eyal became the eighty talmid of the yeshiva killed either in combat in the military or acts of terrorism. The last before Eyal was an avreich in the kollel, Avishai Schindler, who was a resident of Elad. He was living in Beit Chaggai in the S. Hebron Hills, murdered four years ago in a shooting attack on his way back to yeshiva. It was on August 31, 2010. Four Jews were murdered in their vehicle in a terrorist drive-by shooting attack on Route 60 near Kiryat Arba, east of Hebron: Yitzhak Ames, 47, and his wife Talya Ames, 45, Kochava Even Chaim, 37, and Avishai Schindler, 24, all from Beit Chaggai. Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack.

A rebbe in the yeshiva, Rabbi Mishael Rubin said “This is not the first time that this has hit us and we are working to keep our heads up, we the rabbonim and the talmidim. Today however we remain silent for it is best not to speak too much”.
