Two Thirds of Israelis Have Fears Regarding Their Economic Future

shekMost Israelis have a negative feeling when it comes to their economic future, Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics reports. The poll was conducted among 7,400 citizens from all areas of Israel age 20 and over.

The poll reveals two out of every three Israelis are concerned regarding their economic future because they are unable to save money for the future. 59% of the respondents add their fears leave them with a feeling that they will be unable to assist their children down the road; 55% fear they will not be able to continue living an honorable lifestyle and 52% fear they will become dependent on others.

As Israelis come closer to retiring their fears and anxieties surrounding their economic future increases. On the other hand, the fears generally subside somewhat a year following retirement, indicating their fears do not always actualize.

Fears are not limited to becoming older as in recent years fears have increased among Israelis due to current financial difficulties. In 2010 10% of respondents admitted they have economic fears regarding the coming years while in 2013, that number rose to 17%.

Fears are in no small way related directly to one’s future employment. 10% of respondents in 2010 feared they will lose their job in the coming years. In the past year, that number was 13%.

40% of the employed taking part in the survey fear that if they lose their job, there have little to no chance of getting another job.

  1. Why is the economy so bad today? Why is the whole world going down? Anyone know the message from Hashem? (i.e. wont find this message in a sefer or any newspaper neither is it from me a businessman on the internet)

For the past thousands of years there was always Avoda zara in the world-from the molech to the baal to the asheira tree etc…-todays avoda zara is MONEY, we are a servant to money, we serve money, we bow down to money, we let money talk & rule us like a G-d. Thus we leave Hashem no choice but to take it away from us Rachmana L’tzlan. But you can still save yourself from going down. if a person can use his money the right way & remember that it all comes from Hashem & it was just loaned to him (even though he worked for it), then he is the perfect person to continue holding Hashem’s money.

May we all have a happy sweet new year
