Sharpton: Activists Ready For Decision In Ferguson

sharpThe Rev. Al Sharpton says that activists across the country are keeping a close watch on the grand jury investigating the police shooting of a black 18-year-old in Ferguson, Missouri.

The grand jury is believed to be nearing a decision about whether a white police officer should face criminal charges in the death of Michael Brown in the St. Louis suburb.

Sharpton told a news conference in New York on Wednesday that activists in several cities are ready to stage demonstrations no matter what decision is reached. He said they will demand that a federal prosecutor take over the case from local authorities.

Another grand jury in New York is considering charges in the chokehold death of Eric Garner. That case has also sparked protests against police.

  1. The Rabble is rousing again. Obama, the rabble in chief, told the protester to “stay the course.” That means rioting. All the evidence published to date has shown the police officer acted in self protection. Brown attacked him. Brown was a criminal, but facts won’t matter here.
