According to PA (Palestinian Authority) officials, US Secretary of State John Kerry has informed them that if they proceed to the UN Security Council with their bill to “end the Israeli occupation” in Yehuda and Shomron and areas of Yerushalayim the US will use its veto authority and bring it to an end.
When Mr. Kerry addressed a new conference on Tuesday 24 Kislev however he said “We have made no determination about language, approaches, specific resolutions…This isn’t the time to detail private conversations or speculate on a UN Security Council resolution that hasn’t even been tabled no matter what pronouncements are made publicly about it.”
The PA reports the US insists it cannot unilaterally seek to set dates for his must be the result of ongoing negotiations with Israel and mutual agreement.
The US recently denied http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/news/headlines-breaking-stories/274731/us-denies-reports-of-sanctions-against-israel.html reports that it plans sanctions against Israel including refraining from coming to Israel’s aid in the Security Council with its veto power, explaining it will address each and every case individually.
The PA bill before the Security Council is scheduled for Tuesday night the eve of 26 Kislev.
