Contractor Yisrael Krauss came under attack in the Meah Shearim neighborhood of the capital due to a monetary dispute. The criminals broke into his home and cut off his peyos and beard R”L. Baruch Hashem Krauss only sustained light physical injuries. Police are aware of the identity of the attackers, who fled the scene.

Krauss, 60, is a Toldos Aharon chossid and well-known in the community. The attack occurred on Wednesday, 2 Teves. According to eyewitnesses, three criminals were involved in the assault, claiming Krauss owes them money. Beating him and cutting off his beard and peyos was not enough as the three also ransacked his home. Krauss was transported to a local hospital where he was reported in light condition.
