Har Habayis Activists Plan a Discrimination Lawsuit

hhaHar Habayis activists plan to file a discrimination lawsuit seeking monetary damages due to the discriminatory policy implemented by authorities regarding who may and may not visit the holy site.

The activists have already contacted lawyers, explaining they have a wealth of documented cases in which Jews are the target of discrimination. One recent case sited involved Ofra resident Rabbi Prof. Yoel Elitzur, who was detained last week.

The plaintiffs will use video footage showing Muslims playing soccer on the holy site while they are denied entry for no apparent reason. They are also armed with a Supreme Court ruling that prohibits anyone from playing soccer due to the holiness of the site but Israel Police prefer to ignore this as does the Islamic Waqf Authority.

  1. Hundreds of Muslims, even thousands, could visit the Kotel everyday and Jews would want there to be descrimination in order to keep the Muslims out.
