Rallies Related To Madison Police Shooting Planned

mps

Two rallies are planned in Madison, one to protest the shooting of an unarmed biracial man by a white police officer and another in support of law enforcement.

Protesters say they’ll march Wednesday afternoon from a Madison park to the state Department of Corrections headquarters to focus on the shooting, criminal justice reform and fighting for a living wage.

High school students are expected to join the march. About 1,500 high school students and other rallied at the Capitol Monday.

Supporters of the Madison Police Department are planning what they’re calling a late afternoon “peaceful gathering #1” at a law enforcement memorial.

Nineteen-year-old Tony Robinson died Friday night in a confrontation with a police officer who was answering a call about a man disrupting traffic.

All the AP cares about is race and race and race. Everyone knows you don’t attack a police officer unless you suicidal or something.
