The Tikvah Fund has announced the opening of applications for its second summer Institute for Yeshiva Men, during thekayitz bein hazmanim. Last year, Tikvah hosted its first such program, in which 17bochurimandyungerleitconvened for a week to study advanced political theory and economics from renowned professors, as well asshiurimfrom toptalmidei chachomimon themes relating to the role ofAm Yisraelamong modern societies in which they reside.
Among many distinguished speakers this year are Rav Ahron Lopiansky, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva of Greater Washington, popular columnist Jonathan Rosenblum, and William Kristol, editor of the Weekly Standard magazine. The directors are Rabbi Yitzchok Adlerstein of the Simon Wiesenthal Center in Los Angeles, and Rabbi Mark Gottlieb, senior director of the Tikvah Fund.
The institute will take placeAugust 9-16(24Av-1Elul5775), at the Glen Cove Mansion in Long Island, and is open to those between the ages of 20 and 30 who have considerable yeshiva background. The program is fully subsidized by the Tikvah Fund, including tuition, travel, hotel room, books, activities, and a modest stipend.
