Police on Tuesday, 14 Cheshvan, arrested Chaggai Amir, the brother of convicted Yitzchak Rabin assassin Yigal Amir. Chaggai was arrested after his Facebook posting was determined to be seditious by police in addition to allegedly threatening President Reuven Rivlin.

Chaggai was arraigned on Wednesday morning and the Tel Aviv Magistrate Court extended his remand for one day.

The Facebook post said “Rivlin is a politician who flatters. He will not determine if my brother is released or not, but only HKBH makes this determination as he determined that Rabin would die despite the fact Rivlin and his friends do not agree He stated Rivlin would be president. The time will come when He will decide that together with the Zionist state, Rivlin will pass from the world as was the case with Sodom because of its transgressions against their own people. And this day is not far off”.
