Top Senate Republican Mitch McConnell says flatly that his party won’t permit a vote on any Supreme Court nominee submitted by President Barack Obama but will “revisit the matter” after the presidential election in November.
The Kentucky Republican acknowledged that Obama is within his rights to nominate a replacement to Antonin Scalia but said Republicans controlling the Senate would exercise their rights to “withhold” consent.
In response, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., accused McConnell of taking his cues from Republican presidential candidates Donald Trump and Ted Cruz. On the day of Scalia’s death, Trump told a debate audience that the Senate should “delay, delay, delay.”
Scalia’s death has incited a major fight in Washington over whether Obama should be able to replace him in an election year.

Obama did a filibuster in 2004 against Sam Alito and Biden said in 1992 that a GOP President should NOT nominate a SC Justice in an election year. So let them go ahead and “withhold” consent who cares what Harry Reid says!!
He should keep an open mind. Obama might nominate a moderate judge, whereas President Sanders, especially if he has a Senate majority, will pick one radically to the left. Obama is also under pressure to pick someone acceptable to Republican conservatives – his nightmare is the sort of judge President Trump will appoint.
This from a guy (Harry Reid) that didn’t allow vote after vote on things HE didn’t want or should I say Obama who controlled him didn’t want voted on. So here’s to you Dingy Harry. Go hunting, shoot yourself a crow and eat it.
And Harry as your puppeteer loved to tell the republicans “elections have consequences”.
Obama will definitely pick some dedicated Leftist which would be the worst thing for America and the Jewish people. We need a solid Conservative like Scalia on the bench to counteract the totally Leftist orientation being pushed by the currently out of control liberals. No candidate that the Democrats pick can possibly be any good.
