WATCH: Frum IDF Soldiers Attacked At Zichron Moshe Shteiblach

zm[VIDEO IN EXTENDED ARTICLE]

As seen in the video, there was a bit of a mayhem in the Zichron Moshe area of the capital on Thursday morning, 2 Cheshvan as three Frum IDF soldiers came under attack.

B’chasdei Hashem there were no injuries but once again soldiers were the subject of hateful and disrespectful shouts when they arrived to daven. Police arrived and distance attackers from the soldiers.

There have been several instances at the shteiblach in Zichron Moshe of late, all involving IDF soldiers in uniform looking for a minyan. The soldiers were chased out and in some cases assaulted by extremists who shouted ‘Chardak’ at them.

  1. Memo to Rabbi Yair Hoffman;
Maybe you have some Torah pshetlach whether Jews who come to daven in a shul are allowed to be shamed, humiliated, harassed and thrown out??

  2. @ziongate and maybe you go parade around the south side with a #bluelivesmatter shirt? U remind me of the WoW, they are probably innocent too, no?

  3. ziongate-

Do we really need rabbi hoffman to tell us that, regardless of ones opinion regarding the state of Israel or the IDF, this behavior is wrong?

  4. Its just sad to hear this all the time, we need unity to bring moshiach! We need to instill the trait of loving each other in all children and not judging one another ESPECIALLY when we dont even know who they are!

  5. To YWN and all the commenters from across the pond: I am not condoning shaming anyone in public. But all of you who don’t live here ought to stop passing judgement on matters you do not fully grasp. It is a complicated social issue as well as a religious issue. There is substantial background to this matter, including trying to entice yeshiva students — when they show up to arrange their deferment — to leave yeshiva and join the army. I agree that at first glance it looks ugly. But, it’s more complicated than what you see in the video clip.

  6. These idiots are obviously wrong for attacking the soldier, who’s protecting them. But, why would the soldier go Daven there when he knows what type of idiots hang around there! It’s not the first time this happened.

  7. ” umedeshaski rabaanan shema menei dnecha lei”

at the recent crc sponsored demonstration against netanyahu in new york
the speaker publicly humiliated Rav Shteinman (rl)
and all the rebbes thta were sitting there including zali
    did not say a word
    shame on all of them!!!!!!!

  8. to # 7
sell your nonsense to someone else
there is absolutley no excuse period to throw anybody out of a public shule
    period end of story
no complications only if you want to make it

  9. If it had been around then, would YWN have shown a video clip of nazis ym”s attacking heilige Yidden coming to a shul to daven? I suspect not, so why are you showing this video now?

  10. this wrong …..pashit wrong .
if you dont want to go to the army dont go , be a coward , but dont knock a frum yid if he wants to go
esp if he is coming to daven

  11. #7…

“…But, it’s more complicated than what you see in the video clip…”
Probably , so was Kamtza bar Kamtza more complicated than the gemorrah’s story. We weren’t there , don’tcha know..

“…all of you who don’t live here ought to stop passing judgement on matters you do not fully grasp….”
No, I don’t grasp this atrocity whether I live here, there or on the moon.
Lomdus, psychology, defense excuses aren’t going to cut it. A Bet Hamikdash was destroyed by a similar act. Unbelievable.

Anybody ever tell you that you’re a navon? a mayvin dovor metoch dovor? If yes, probably happened on, as you say, Purim.

  13. Anyone who read the dvar Torah by Moshe kempinski on INN/arutz sheva read about why the flood was called mey noach.
Noach had 120 years to build the ark and try to right the wrong, but the problem was he focused on himself mostly and didn’t put in enough effort into trying to get the masses to do teshuva. He didn’t daven enough for them.
He is compared to Avraham avinu who was very other focused and made efforts constantly to reach out to others.
(Please read it. I am not summarizing it properly).
The relevance being that yelling at others and shaming them is not outreach. The waters were called mey noach because he could have done more and so, by not reaching out and trying to guide or at least daven more for them, he was considered partially responsible for the destruction not being prevented.
Screaming and shaming others will not bring achdus or draw others closer, if they believe themselves right then let them figure out how best to convey their stance without destroying a person.
