In light of the harsh allegations announced against Modi�in Illit Mayor R� Yaakov Gutterman, on Thursday, the mayor paid a visit to the home of HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita, Kikar Shabbat reports. The report adds that Gutterman was seeking a bracha from R� Kanievsky in light of the reports surrounding alleged criminal activity.

Gutterman presented the facts surrounding the case being built against him. Officials in the Rav�s home refused to indicate just how the Gadol HaDor responded.

Earlier this month, police recommended criminal charges against Gutterman, as was reported by YWN-ISRAEL.
