New British Government Keeps Ban On Michael Savage

Top-rated national talk show host Michael Savage is blasting the British Government for refusing to take him off the country’s banned list.

Last year, Savage was put on a list among 16 “undesirables” banned from entering the country.

On Monday, July 12, World Net Daily reported that nothing has changed with the ban under the leadership of the Conservative Party and its leader Prime Minister David Cameron. The web site says that Savage was informed that his name will not be taken off the list.

The UK’s “undesirable” list that includes terrorists, neo-Nazis and gang members.

Savage told the Washington Times on Monday, July 12, “All governments are essentially amoral. I had hopes but did not expect this ‘new’ UK government to restore sanity to Britain. They are still pandering to the Muslim masses.”

On his show on Monday, July 12, Savage said he had been trying to work behind the scenes with his attorney to get the ban overturned.   He said he has spent a “fortune” in legal fees and vowed to continue to fight it.   He said he was confident he would eventually prevail.

Savage noted a petition in his support was signed by 85,000 people.   And he asked why Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had ignored the petition.

Savage told listeners that if he really had incited violence on his show as the British government implied, he wouldn’t have lasted in radio.

“I wouldn’t be on the air 15 minutes, let alone 15 years.” Savage said.

Savage mused that he may go to the Republic of Ireland with listeners and stand at the border in Northern Ireland and “put on a show” for the British.

Savage said that news of the ban not being rescinded has not got him down.

“They have not shamed me because I have not done anything wrong,” the San Francisco-based talk show host said.

Savage added that most people in the UK support him.

“Most people in Britain believe what I say. Yes, they believe in borders, language and culture.”

Savage noted that although originally the ACLU voiced support for him, the organization didn’t do anything to fight the cause for him.

Savage told listeners that he suspects that him being banned in Britain was connected with his successful campaign against the Dubai ports deal in 2006.

Savage’s latest book, Banned in Britain, the Fight for Free Speech, features a photo of Savage in front of Big Ben and the British flag.  Yellow tape with the words “Banned in Britain” is over his mouth.

  1. This is strictly a British matter. Our state department and the AMERICAN Civil liberties Union should not be involved.

  2. The Brits are absolutely out of their minds! I am no fan of Michael Wiener or Mark Weiner for that matter but to ban his entry into the UK?
They should ban Achmad if they are worried!
