Nadler Commends Boro Park Shomrim for Bravery

Today, Congressman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) commended the Boro Park Shomrim for their bravery in protecting the children and residents of Borough Park on Thursday night. Nadler issued the following statement:

Yesterday, four volunteer members of the Boro Park Shomrim put their lives at risk to courageously pursue a perpetrator. These four heroes were unfortunately wounded in the process, but their bravery serves as an inspiration to the community they protect. I applaud Motty Perl, Motty Brauner, Joel Klein and Abe Kaztow for their selfless actions and wish them a speedy recovery. For nearly two decades, Boro Park Shomrim has served the community, forging a close relationship with the NYPD and building a grassroots organization through thousands of hours of volunteer work. I was glad to provide them with initial funding for equipment in the past, and it is important to continue to support their efforts.
