An Israeli Air Force aircraft targeted an operational terror tunnel in the Gaza Strip during today’s early hours. A direct hit was confirmed, and there were no civilian casualties. Located in central of Gaza, the tunnel enabled terrorists to infiltrate into Israeli territory and execute terror attacks against Israeli civilians and soldiers. The incident follows two Qassam rockets that fell in the Eshkol regional council last night.

In a statement, the IDF said the following: “The IDF holds the Hamas terrorist organization solely responsible for maintaining the calm in Gaza and for any terrorist activity emanating from it. It will also continue to respond harshly to all terror attempts targeting Israel’s civilians.”
