SECURITY/DEFENSE:

*Today is day 4 of the Gaza ceasefire.

*Today, Wednesday, is Gilad Shalit’s 941st day in Hamas captivity.

*IDF soldiers involved in counter-terror operations in Yehuda and Shomron arrested 10 suspects during the night.

*Humanitarian aid trucks will be delivering goods to Gaza today along with fuel via the Nachal Oz depot.

*All IDF troops have left Gaza.

*34 PA residents illegally inside Green Line Israel were apprehended in a factory in Chadera.

POLITICS, DOMESTIC & MORE:

*Human rights organizations are pressuring Attorney General Menachem Mazuz to launch an investigation into alleged violations of international law by the IDF in Operation Cast Lead.

*Hamas leaders and supporters took part in victory rallies in Gaza on Tuesday.

*A PA resident was apprehended in the act while breaking into a home in Elyakim, in the Chadera area. The owner who confronted the burglar is a policeman, who apprehended the suspect, but not before suffering light knife wounds from the burglar who is in custody.

*High Court rules the right-wing flag parade will take place in Um el-Fahm six weeks after the general election, which will be held on February 10th.
