Wednesday Midday News Briefs From Eretz Yisrael


09:05: Rock-throwing attacks against Israeli vehicles near N’vei Tzuf in Shomron. No injuries.

** Foreign Minister Lieberman denies reports that he threatened to break up the coalition of the prime minister does not agree to come down hard on the PA (Palestinian Authority).

10:12: Three settlers, ages 17-20, were arrested at Tapuach Junction in Shomron on Tuesday for throwing rocks at Arab motorists. They will be brought before a Petach Tikvah Magistrate’s Court remand hearing on Wednesday.

11:22: Thousands gather in Ramallah to send PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) a clear message, to continue with plans to declare statehood and not to permit America or others to persuade him to postpone the move.

13:00: Hundreds of Arabs in the Chevron district are attacking IDF soldiers with rocks. No injuries are being reported.

13:00: A cinderblock was hurled at an Israeli vehicle traveling in Chawarah, north of Tapuach Jct. in Shomron. No injuries.

** Thousands of Arabs are beginning marches throughout Yehuda and Shomron.
