Israel: Strauss Dairy Lowering Prices

Strauss Dairy announced on Sunday (4 Tishrei) that it is lowering the price of many of its items, between 8 and 13%. The move follows the announcement from Tnuva, Israel’s largest dairy, that it is lowering many prices by 15%.

Strauss also followed Tnuva’s lead, not crediting the Tnuva boycott for the decision, but stating the timing is coincidental and prices are being lowered due to a decrease in the price of milk.

The organizers of the ongoing boycott against Tnuva announced that they are not about to call off the consumer boycott, explaining for this to occur, Tnuva must lower prices by 30%.
